To be nationally designated as one of the Best Workplaces for Commuters, DTC met the National Standard of Excellence and is among a select group of workplaces in the United States that have achieved the Best Workplaces for Commuters by providing an array of commuter benefits and the addition of a formal telework policy implemented in 2021. DTC offers employees several commuter benefits options, including:

  • Free DART bus service for all DTC employees
  • Teleworking program, which allows for employee work-schedule flexibility for applicable positions
  • Carpool matching program
  • Emergency Ride Home program

“DTC is one of the top employers in the nation offering high-level commuter benefits to their employees,” said Julie Bond, Program Manager, Best Workplaces for Commuters. “DTC made the list because they offer transportation choices that include telework, alternate work schedules, free transit, carpool/vanpool programs, and access to Emergency Ride Home programs. DTC gives its employees the support they need to get to and from work and be at their best before, during, and after their workday.”
