Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC) announced the approval of DART’s Statewide Bus Service Change to become effective Sunday, October 22, 2023. The following are recommended approved changes to be implemented. Modifications to the original proposal are designated in italicized bold text.

NEW CASTLE COUNTY
The following Routes will have schedule adjustments to improve on-time performance and connections:
Weekdays – 10,13,18,28,33,37,40,42,46
Weekends – 10,13,28,33,37,40,46
Routes 13 and 61 – Both routes will begin and end at the new Claymont Transportation Center
when it opens, which is projected to be by the end of 2023. Both routes will continue to serve Society Drive, Peachtree Lane, and Darley Road in both directions. The Route 13 will be extended to Naamans Road and Philadelphia Pike. The Route 61 will be extended from
Darley Road, no longer serving Myrtle Avenue. Please note that both routes will continue to follow their current routing when the service change becomes effective on October 22, 2023, until they are moved to the Claymont Transportation Center.
Route 25 – A new Saturday morning trip will depart from Miller Road Shopping Center at
5 AM and will arrive at Amazon (ILG1) at 5:42 AM to meet the 6 AM work shift time.
Route 40 – The route will begin and end on King at 11th Street within the City of Wilmington,
instead of on 9th at Market. Bus stops that will be served into Wilmington from the
Wilmington Transit Center are on Walnut at 5th St.; 8th at King St.; 8th at
Shipley St.; Orange at 10th St.; and on King at 11th St. Heading out of Wilmington,
the bus stops that will be served are on King at 11th St.; King at 8th St.; King at 6th St.; King at 3rd St.; and on South Market St. at Rosa Parks Drive.
Kent and Sussex Counties – Minor schedule adjustments to improve on-time performance.
Intercounty – Minor schedule adjustments to improve on-time performance. In addition;
Route 301 – to address customer concerns regarding work-based trip times arriving in downtown Wilmington to accommodate shifts starting at 8 to 8:30 AM, the Route 301 schedule will be adjusted to operate an additional trip at 6:40 AM from Dover Transit Center to Wilmington. The Route 301 schedule will operate three AM trips leaving Dover Transit Center to downtown Wilmington, at 6:05 AM, 6:25 AM, and 6:40 AM. Arrival times in Wilmington will be 7:41 AM, 7:54 AM, and 8:12 AM on Delaware Ave. at Adams St.
