Changes to DART’s Bus Service in New Castle & Kent Counties Become Effective June 15
John Sisson, Chief Executive Officer of Delaware Transit Corporation, announced that the changes to DART First State Fixed Route Bus Service in New Castle and Kent Counties will become effective Sunday, June 15, 2014.
Highlights of the New Castle County changes include:
Route 15 will be extended to serve Christiana Mall on its last weekday evening trip from Rodney Square, serving Cavalier Apartments.
Route 32 will be extended out Delaware Ave. to turn around at N. Harrison St., providing service to Capital One.
Route 65, serving Newark and Elkton, MD, will be discontinued on July 1, 2014. DTC and Cecil County Government remain in negotiations regarding Cecil Transit assuming operation of Route 65. Should negotiations be successful, Cecil Transit will take over the operation sometime after July 1. For additional information, please visit www.ceciltransit.com.
In Kent County, Route 107’s Saturday service will have minor routing and time changes.
