Announcement
Spring is finally here again! RideShare Delaware is celebrating Air Quality Awareness Week (AQAW) from April 20th – 24th. RideShare Delaware is also holding its 3rd annual Air Quality Awareness Champion (AQAC) competition. The 2020 Air Quality Awareness Champion will be announced at a later date.
The Air Quality Champion is a business or organization that takes the initiative in doing their part to be GREEN and assist with improving the air quality of Delaware. To be eligible, businesses must fill out a quick criteria checklist. The checklist can be found below. All checklists must be submitted by May 29, 2020.
Businesses can self-nominate or be recommended as a prospect to be the 2020 AQA Champion. However, a viable representative from the organization must be a point of contact to be eligible. The champion will receive a trophy and recognition will be announced at a later date. The 2020 AQA Champion will be announced through various social media sites and newsletters.
During Air Quality Awareness Week, we are asking Delaware residents to try a clean mode of travel to work or campus. There will be a raffle held during the week. Residents must take and record a clean commute through RideShare Delaware. A clean commute is a carpool, vanpool, transit trip, bike, walk, or telework/work from home.
As a bonus, RideShare Delaware will be holding a challenge at Earth & Arbor Day in Wilmington.
- Pledge to take a clean commute at RideShareDelaware.org/pledge before Earth & Arbor Day
- Register with RideShare Delaware and record your clean commute
- Check-in at the RideShare Delaware at the City of Wilmington’s Earth and Arbor Day Celebration to receive your prize
