The Air Quality Partnership of Delaware in conjunction with RideShare Delaware and its partner agencies are pleased to announce Air Quality Awareness Week 2020.

Over the course of this week we are asking people to participate in a clean mode of travel, such as:

  • Carpooling
  • Transit
  • Bicycling
  • Walking
  • Telecommuting

Record a clean commute during the week via RideShare Delaware and you will be entered into a raffle drawing where one lucky clean commuter will receive a gift card.

2020 AQA Champion Announcement

Spring is finally here again! The Air Quality Partnership (AQP) of Delaware and RideShare Delaware are celebrating Air Quality Awareness Week (AQAW) from April 20th – 24th. RideShare Delaware is also holding its 3rd annual Air Quality Awareness Champion (AQAC) competition. The 2020 Air Quality Awareness Champion will be announced at the City of Wilmington’s Earth & Arbor Day Event Date To Be Announced

The Air Quality Champion is a business or organization that takes the initiative in doing their part to be GREEN and assist with improving the air quality of Delaware.  To be eligible, businesses must fill out a quick criteria checklist. The checklist can be found at RideShareDelaware.org/aqa-champion/.  All checklists must be submitted by May 29, 2020.  

Businesses can self-nominate or be recommended as a prospect to be the 2020 AQA Champion. However, a viable representative from the organization must be a point of contact to be eligible. The champion will receive a trophy and recognition at the City of Wilmington’s Earth & Arbor Day Event Date To Be Announced.  The 2020 AQA Champion will be announced through various social media sites and newsletters.   

During Air Quality Awareness Week, we are asking Delaware residents to try a clean mode of travel to work or campus. There will be a raffle held during the week. Residents must take and record a clean commute through RideShare Delaware. A clean commute is a carpool, vanpool, transit trip, bike, walk, or telework/work from home.   
As a bonus, RideShare Delaware will be holding a challenge at Earth & Arbor Day in Wilmington.   

  1. Pledge to take a clean commute at RideShareDelaware.org/pledge before Earth & Arbor Day  
  2. Register with RideShare Delaware and record your clean commute  
  3. Check-in at the RideShare Delaware at the City of Wilmington’s Earth and Arbor Day Celebration to receive your prize
