Friday, August 28, 2020 – The Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC) was named by the Federal Transit Administration as one of 25 recipients for a highly competitive Accelerating Innovative Mobility (AIM) grant award. Seventy-five eligible grant proposals were submitted from 33 states and territories.
Labor Day – Monday, September 7, 2020 – New this Labor Day, DART offers bus service in New Castle County on Routes 2, 4, 5, 6, 13, 15, 33, 40, and 47, using a Saturday schedule, with Paratransit operating complimentary ADA-only service. DART’s Beach Bus service and Route 305 Beach Connection will also operate, with complimentary ADA-only service for Paratransit. All other fixed route and paratransit services will not operate.
Paratransit riders can once again pay their Paratransit fare using tickets and cash starting Monday, August 31,
as the option to be billed for trips will no longer be available. Customers are encouraged to use DART Pass, the
mobile fare payment app for a contactless payment option.
The Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC) – DART First State is pleased to announce our “Clean Energy and Energy Savings Initiative” continues to move forward with our recent award of a $2.5 million Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grant for Buses and Bus Facilities Program to install solar array at our Dover Operations and Administration Facility.
