RideShare Delaware Helps Dover Celebrate Bike to Work Day!

Dover’s Bike to Work Day – Dover held its 3rd Annual Bike to Work Day at the Dover Public Library on May 17, 2017 with a kick-off from the Chairman for the City of Dover’s Bicycle & Pedestrian Committee, James Hutchison. The event was hosted by the City of Dover’s Recreation Department and the Dover Bicycle/Pedestrian Subcommittee. DelDOT, Kent County MPO, RideShare Delaware, and the Delaware Bike Council were there to provide commuting information, bike safety tips, networking, give-a-ways, and help celebrate clean commuting throughout the state. DART employees Tremica Cherry-Wall, Jamila Jones, and Stephen Ottinger posed for a photo with the newly introduced Fit for the First State bike rack, which was designed by local Dover High School students. Tremica and Jamila participated in the event by riding their bikes to the library and then heading to DART for their work day. Thanks for showing your team spirit!
